20FT+ was developed to transform surf forecasting into a live-event storytelling platform centered around anticipation, timing, and the chase for giant surf. Rather than focusing on the technical side of forecasting, the project focused on what all that data could make possible in the real world.
How do you turn technical information into something audiences obsess over emotionally?
The Challenge
The project required building an entirely new visual identity system for Surfline’s live big-wave coverage — one that could stand on its own as a recognizable event series while still feeling deeply connected to the Surfline brand.
The Approach
The creative direction focused on building a bold, scalable identity system that could live across live broadcasts, motion graphics, social media, merchandise, partner brands, and rapidly changing event locations while remaining instantly recognizable to surf audiences worldwide.
Execution
Full brand identity system, logo development, website design, social media systems, merchandise design, broadcast graphics, motion graphics, and production-ready assets developed alongside Surfline’s live broadcast teams.
Outcome
20FT+ launched successfully as a globally recognized extension of the Surfline brand — transforming surf forecasting into a live multimedia storytelling experience watched across the surf world.
